Fly 53 Tour Newcastle, Birmingham & Manchester

The Fly53 in assoc. with Vice Magazine tour is well and truly out of the way with things coming to end on 31st May at Birmingham’s Rainbow club. Although we never managed to make it to any of the dates ourselves reports are that all three dates were bangers, attracting droves of happy happy dancey people.

On the 3rd July Newcastle’s Electrik Sheep will play host to the third solo show from UK art collective Prefab. The show entitled ‘Enemy of Promise’ will see a fresh new selection of original paintings, limited editions and hand finished prints hot of the heels of their sell out Covent Garden show.

DJ Yoda’s ‘Magic Cinema’ Show at Digital, Newcastle

If you’re at a loose end this Saturday 17th May (and lets face it who isn’t) then you might want to rush down to Newcastle’s Digital nightclub to catch mix master DJ Yoda live and in full effect with his ‘Magic Cinema’ show. Featuring a piece of kit, the Pioneer SVM-1000, developed by Yoda and made available to only a hand full of DJ’s the world over, the show promises to be a audio-visual extravaganza featuring sound tracks and film clips galore.

Defector at Format, Newcastle - Opening Night

Saturday 5th April saw the opening of Format, one of Newcastle’s newest contemporary art galleries and the launch of their first show Defector. Curated in league with North East based art/music collective The Ghetto Method, the show featured work from some of their flag ship artists including Mr Guy, Creative Ginger and Ben Lawson with a special appearance from Edinburgh resident illustrator Magda Boreysza.

Pure Evil at Electrik Sheep, Newcastle - Opening Night

Pure EvilLast night saw the opening of PURE EVIL’s ‘Run - The Old World Is Behind You’ show at Electrik Sheep on Pink Lane, Newcastle. As expected the show went down a storm and the work on display was well and truly on point!

Pure Evil at Electrik Sheep, Newcastle

Pure EvilOn the 3rd April those fine folks at Electrik Sheep, Newcastle will be hosting an exhibition of original artwork and limited edition prints from UK graffiti artist PURE EVIL. On show will be butterflies, bunnies, babes and situationist propaganda inspired by the 40th anniversary of the May 1968 student riots. In addition to this on the night there will also be an exclusive print release which will be available to purchase in store and online the next day at 12.
