Skateboarding 3D Book

This wouldn’t normally be something that I’d be bothered about but for some reason this one caught my eye. Nice when some one does something a little different.

Skateboarding 3D is a stunning book that was photographed by Sebastian Denz. It will be available soon in UK Stores in London and Manchester from 4th February at the Launch Party (more info to follow) priced £40.

Own/manage a store? Run a brand? Get your hand up.

If you own or a manage a online or bricks and mortar clothing store, run a brand, working in marketing, PR or brand management or are just the guy in charge of making sure stuff sells then I want to hear from you. I’m looking to find out more about the way companies in the street fashion industry are using online marketing and community to build brands and promote products.

This is going to be an going thing with no deadline so if you want to help out drop me an email at hello@kartelinc.co.uk.

Star Wars X adidas Originals Promo Video feat. David Beckham and Snoop Dogg

OK. So I know I ripped into this collab a few days ago. But you’ve got to admit this is pretty special.

Fatsarazzi X WeSC Spring/Summer 2011

One of the best photographers in the UK by far is London born and raised Fatsarazzi. I originally came across his stuff through artists like Mr Jago and SheOne and the art shows in and around London that he’s photographed and followed his work ever since.

In the past he’s worked with the likes of Vans, Maharishi and Silas but today he posted on his blog about a new project he’s got coming out in ‘11 for WeSC. Obviously we’ve just crawled in to 2010, and 2011 is long minute away, but I reckon this will be a one to keep an eye open for when it emerges. There isn’t a lot of info on it at the moment but keep on the Fats’ blog for more info soon.

Johnny Cupcakes Valentines Day Release

Ever since I can remember Johnny Cupcakes has been one of my favorite brands. Not only is the product awesome, but the way in which Johnny Earle looks after the brand and more importantly his community of loyal consumers, makes a nice change from the bigger worldwide corporations that basically don’t give a shit.

adidas Originas x Star Wars. Over hype?

There’s a lot of hype at the moment around the adidas Originals x Star Wars drop that’ll have fanboys flocking in their thousands to pick up the first release when it hits the UK later this month.

Now I like a colab as much as the next guy but I can’t help but think the hype on this one is a little bit over the top. For the most part the product is OK, but lets face it its nothing special, especially considering that most of it looks like it was made for the mad collector rather than general consumption (i.e. the ‘Best Scenes Micropacer’) and would be ripped to shreds if it wasn’t carrying the Star Wars name.

Bricks and Mortar Retail Directory

Ideally I want to make it a comprehensive list of the retailers locations, websites, brands and with feedback, reviews and images over the course of the next year.
