A few weeks back we came across this, the Attigo TT touch screen DJ interface via the blog of our good friend Klingatron. Created by student Scott Hobbs the Attigo TT is essentially a touch screen display system that allows users to manipulate and mix MP3’s in the same way that a DJ mixes vinyls.
On the 3rd July Newcastle’s Electrik Sheep will play host to the third solo show from UK art collective Prefab. The show entitled ‘Enemy of Promise’ will see a fresh new selection of original paintings, limited editions and hand finished prints hot of the heels of their sell out Covent Garden show.
We’re a little bit late on this but if you’re in the Manchester area tonight then you should definaltly mosey on over to the opening event at the brand new Carhartt store on Oldham Street.
Running along side the store launch there will be an exhibition of work by one of the UK’s best illustrative talents Guy McKinley, titled ‘Black Rust’ and in addition to this there will also be music and live PAs from Broke ‘n’ English and Trus’ Me…and as always ‘Free Beer & Geer’, details after the jump.

Don’t forget ladies and gents tomorrow sees the launch of the first Jam Factory x Crazy Label vinyl toy, ‘Droplet’. The show is taking place at Birmingham’s Go Go Plastic toy store and will feature not only the product launch but also a selection of customs from the likes of Mr Jago, 45RPM, China Mike, Richt, Klingatron and Doktor A..
As always there’ll be free drinks and treats laid on and the work, we have no doubt, will be nothing short of awesome. Check the flyer and details after the jump.
Saturday 5th April saw the opening of Format, one of Newcastle’s newest contemporary art galleries and the launch of their first show Defector. Curated in league with North East based art/music collective The Ghetto Method, the show featured work from some of their flag ship artists including Mr Guy, Creative Ginger and Ben Lawson with a special appearance from Edinburgh resident illustrator Magda Boreysza.

As UK skate-art collective, Xynthetic’s ‘Mini-Art Tour’ pulls into its last stop at the Workshop Store, Bristol, their main man on the cam Jonny ‘Makinov’ Clooney has thrown together this short video outlined the hows, whens and whys of the tour, the artists and Xyn family.

Last night saw the opening of PURE EVIL’s ‘Run - The Old World Is Behind You’ show at Electrik Sheep on Pink Lane, Newcastle. As expected the show went down a storm and the work on display was well and truly on point!
