Regardless of what you think about the American politics system and the current Whitehouse battle, you would be hard pushed to put on the news and not be bombarded with the Obama vs. Clinton war. But when things spill over in to the world of street artists and fashion you can’t help but sit up and pretend to be a little bit interested in whats going on.

Shepard Fairey (aka Obey Giant) has already created a sell out limited edition screen printed poster in support of democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama but now with the help of Upper Playground Obey’s ‘original’ artwork is now gracing t-shirts. Available for a reasonable $25 (£12.50) from the Upper Playground x Barack Obama online store, all profits from sales will be injected back into the campaign for the production of more t-shirts, stickers and posters. Nice!

Complex Blog have already expressed what they think of this latest release from the Obey camp (and Shepard in general) and the recent spurt of art/election crossovers is certainly raising some eyebrows in the US, frankly we’re just waiting for next years barrage of David Cameron M&S sweaters.
