Dam. 9 whole months since our last post! What the hell have we been playing at?!

Well to cut a long story short we’ve been playing at being super busy. When Kartel was set up just over a year ago we really wanted to push it hard and make it the best blog we could, however it was very much a part time affair for everyone involved and we agreed our day jobs came first. When I wrote the last post in July at the time it was just another post on another day but in the last few months things have been just too busy else where to keep it up and the activity here stopped.

However. On May 2nd we kick it all off again! New look, new writers, new features and a whole loada new content. Don’t want to say too much at the moment other than stay tuned and thanks for sticking with us.

We’re probably years behind on these things, but fuck it, we love ‘em. Toy Watch Company’s Fluo and Crystal watch collections. We are huge fans of Croydon lady rapper and producer Sarah-Louise “Goldielocks” Akwisombe here are Kartel and even more so after hearing her fresh from the lab cover of N*E*R*D track, ‘Provider’.

A few weeks back we came across this, the Attigo TT touch screen DJ interface via the blog of our good friend Klingatron. Created by student Scott Hobbs the Attigo TT is essentially a touch screen display system that allows users to manipulate and mix MP3’s in the same way that a DJ mixes vinyls.

The Fly53 in assoc. with Vice Magazine tour is well and truly out of the way with things coming to end on 31st May at Birmingham’s Rainbow club. Although we never managed to make it to any of the dates ourselves reports are that all three dates were bangers, attracting droves of happy happy dancey people.
